My bio
I work at Jewish Federation as Director of Professional Philanthropy, running our Federation’s Young Leadership department and two industry-specific professional affinity groups. I’m also responsible for our Federation Assistance Center, which offers resources to individuals in need of jobs, loans or emergency aid.
Fundraising and leadership development are my primary focus. With a talent for identifying strongĀ leaders, much of my time is spent engaging and stewarding volunteers through the intricate and confusing web of leadership and engagement opportunities offered by the Federation system.
Working for a small non-profit affords me the opportunity to enhance skills in other areas too: creating and managing prominent sections of our website, developing a social media strategy, and, as any fundraiser knows, acquiring enough event-planning experience to plan a major life-cycle event, party or fundraiser in a flash.
I enjoy spending time with my two teenage children, my husband and two dogs, Tweeting, performing (I’m a cellist too), reading, yoga, going to the gym, cooking, and traveling.

Just wondering if you were related to the Menter Family from Syracuse N.Y.?
My maiden name was Menter and I just read about you in the OC Jewish Life magazine.
